MICHIGAN CITY — The Animal Wellness Clinic, located at 4401 U.S. 12 in Michigan City (near the Michigan state line), is celebrating 20 years of business.

“Twenty years gone so fast,” said Dr. Kathleen Puerling, DVM. “Seems like just yesterday I was walking through the doors of my new clinic waiting to have my new child. I remember the early days when it was just me, a receptionist, and my newborn child. The clients would come in, I would take their pet, they would hold my son.”

Animal Wellness Clinic is a small animal clinic focusing on preventative care, wellness exams and exploring alternative avenues of treatment in a family-like atmosphere. House calls are offered for those in need.

Puerling said the clinic received a “facelift” last year complete with new flooring, tables, sinks, paint and signage.

Among the services offered are wellness exams, puppy and kitten visits, general surgery, dentistry, radiography, cold laser therapy and VOM.

The month-long 20-year celebration is set to culminate with a food truck visit to the clinic from noon to 4 p.m. (Central Time) on Friday, Feb. 26.

Animal Wellness Clinic is always accepting new clients. For more information, call (219) 872-0661 or go to http://animalwellnessclinic.com/
