THREE OAKS — The Apple Cider Century bike tour returned on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, after taking last year off due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Those riding in 2021 were blessed with a beautiful fall day.

“We’re counting this as year 48,” said Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club President Bryan Volstorf, who said the nearly 4,000 riders who signed up were “almost back to normal.”

Volstorf said the ACC routes were consolidated in both area and distance for 2021 since there were less volunteers and workers. This year’s riders chose from 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile routes. All beginning and ending at Three Oaks Elementary.

The Saturday, Sept. 25, Ice Cream Social for ACC riders was held in Carver Park, and the traditional Spaghetti Dinner (prepared by Classic Catering) was served to riders on Sunday afternoon.

SAG (Supplies and Gear) Stops were located along the routes including at Oselka Park in New Buffalo and Camp Soni Springs near Three Oaks.
