HARBERT — A Chikaming Township man who left home on July 20 to walk his dog and went missing  for over a week has been found.

The Chikaming Township Police Department reported on July 29 that the family of 29-year-old Thomas Bailey-Anthony Sexton said he has been found in the state of Illinois.

Sexton had been seen with his Rottweiler dog in Shorewood Hills, near Sawyer, Monday, July 20. The dog was later recovered by a resident of Shorewood Hills.

Police Chief Todd Taylor thanked "our team for the many hours and hard work on this case" as well as the following: The Chikaming Township Fire Department; the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department; the Cass County Sheriff’s Department; the Branch County Sheriff’s Department; Michigan State Police; the Michiana/Grand Beach Police; New Buffalo Police; AmTrak Police; Pokagon Tribal Police' volunteers who aided in the search and people who called in tips.
