SAWYER — Steven L. Klettke, 70, of Sawyer, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Spectrum Health Care Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He will have a Marine veteran memorial service as he wished on May 4th. 2019 at New Troy, Mich., Legion, at 4789 Weechick Road 49119

Steve was born August 3, 1948, in Michigan City to the late Robert and Lois (Ormiston) Klettke. On Sept. 9, 2008, in Harbert, Michigan, he married the Love of his life Georgine Ann (Asborn ) Klettke who is surviving in Sawyer, Michigan. Also surviving is son, Jonathon Klettke of Sawyer, one step-son Lawrence Asborn of Sawyer; one sister Sharon (Ron) Roberts of New Buffalo; one brother Stuart (Vicky) Klettke of Queens Creek, Arizona; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Yates; and two brothers Skip and Scotty Klettke.

Steve was a marine in the Vietnam war. He was a retired roofer who worked for many years for his fathers roofing company Roberts Roofing along with many roofing contractors.

Steven was a pure outdoorsman who loved to hunt. Steven loved and lived in his history of the mid 1700’s.

Steven and Georgine lived the WAY OF LIFE they loved life together and lived it.

HE WAS A PROUND VETERAN. A MARINE.
