This past week was the third time I’ve heard this question since our Union Pier postal clerk, Sue, went missing in August.
Sue was the first clerk in years who made it fun to go to the post office because of her big smile and great personality. Sue was the clerk who added music (and scents!) to the post office ambience. Sue was the clerk who greatly increased the choice of stamps, well beyond the usual three or four. Sue was the clerk who encouraged an effort to put summer flowers and greenery in the planter across the front of the post office. Sue was the clerk who organized and implemented a 2017 eclipse party that was the talk of Union Pier. Sue always made you feel happy when you left the post office. What happened to Sue?
