BROOKLYN — Karsyn Stewart led Bridgman in the Division 4 girls state race (held Nov. 3 in Brooklyn, Mich.), finishing 24th in 20:24.4, good for all-state.

The Bees came in 15th as a team (also scoring were 79. Savanna Tate 21:52.3, 130. Kaitlin Essig 22:46.2, 165. Mikaela Owen 23:31.2, 184. MacKenzie Warren 24:04.2).

Bridgman’s boys team placed 12th in Division 4, led by Luke Blesy in 40th place at 17:42.3 (also scoring were 116. Chipper Steffey 18:38.7, 117. Connor Blesy 18:39.2, 130. AJ Hackett 18:43.6, 180. Spencer Noll 19:23.2).

River Valley’s Jessie Rieth finished 64th in a time of 21:42.3 in the girls Division 4 race. It was her fourth straight year competing at state.
