ST. JOSEPH — The New Buffalo High School boys varsity basketball team bounced back from a lopsided loss to Niles by blasting conference foe Lake Michigan Catholic 68-27 on Friday, Jan. 10.

Kaden Parmley led the Bison with 23 points (16 during the third quarter.

Nate Tripp added 13 points and Mark Shaw scored 7.

Max Allen and Jacob Koenig tallied 8 points apiece for the host Lakers.

The victory kept New Buffalo unbeaten in the BCS White Division

Niles was victorious 55-22 in a Jan. 7 game played in the Bison’s home gym. Cerious Wilson led a balanced Viking attack with 15 points.

New Buffal then won a crucial close one at home on Tuesday, Jan. 14, edging Howardsville Christian 48-47.

Anthony Lijewski and Ryan Vinson scored 12 poins each while Parmley tallied 10 as the Bison remained unbeaten in the BCS White Division.

Jason Jergens paced the Eagles with 24 points.

The New Buffalo girls varsity team bested Watervliet 43-39 in a non-conference road game on Jan. 7.

The Bison boys and girls squads are set to host a Night of Champions on Friday, Jan. 17, before the boys host Bridgman on Jan. 18.
